Arena Football League Communications Intern
I worked with the communications director to create multimedia content for the League's website and social media channels. I pitched and created new content for the league including weekly power ranking articles, playoff guides and a new League podcast called AFL All-Access. In addition to creating content, I managed the photography portfolio, handled weekly prize fulfillment and coordinated with various parties to complete daily tasks.

Starnes Publishing Reporting Intern
During this internship I was a general reporter covering the Birmingham metro area. I wrote over 30 articles covering a wide range topics such as City Council meetings, live sporting events and local businesses. In addition, I handled a professional camera to shoot various events and edited photos in Adobe Photoshop.

WBRC Fox 6 News Intern
During this internship, I assisted reporters in crafting their daily stories and helped producers create news broadcasts. I gained experience with an industry standard camera to shoot footage and composed mock scripts for evaluation by professional producers.

I have been an active member of our school's entrepreneurship club. I have assisted with the marketing and media operations of our annual entrepreneurship summit. Furthermore, through CES I have done social media consulting for a small local business and have expanded my knowledge about the world of entrepreneurship.

My Washington and Lee experience has been a wonderful journey. As a journalism major I have learned to craft meaningful stories through various mediums like print, video and podcasts. My time as a dual sport student athlete has allowed me to grow into a stronger person as I helped lead both teams throughout the highs and lows of a rigorous season chasing a championship. Washington and Lee has helped me become a more complete person and I am excited for the bright future it has prepared me for.

Residential Advisor
I was hired to aid 19 freshmen with their transition to college and look after their safety and well-being in conjunction with the university. My responsibilities include being a mentor and resource to them. In addition, I spearhead various hall programs pertaining to the first-year college experience.
Junior Advisory Board
This is a group of leaders among the junior class chosen to voice concerns and implement programs for the class. During my tenure we planned and executed various events for members of the junior class to enjoy. I particularity helped with brainstorming unique events to cater to the needs of third year students as they begin to plan for careers post graduation.
Generals Leadership Academy
A program where future team captains engage in workshops that teach leadership techniques and philosophies. During this class I learned new perspectives on leadership and orchestrated a team community service event with Habitat for Humanity to help paint an elder's house.
